CARREG ATEB at Bryn Celli Ddu
CARREG ATEB is coming to Bryn Celli Ddu on the 22 June 2025, to celebrate connections between Wales, Ireland and Scotland, merging and blurring folk art & folk traditions through the idea of gathering, movement, festivals and procession.
Known as one of the most evocative archaeological sites in Britain, the 5,000-year-old monument was once constructed to protect and pay respect to the remains of ancestors.
This year will see the Bryn Celli Ddu project, partner with Jeremy Deller and the ‘The Triumph of Art’ commission with the National Gallery. This established partnership consists of Jeremy Deller, Mostyn, Frân Wen, Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design, and Armagh Rhymers and celebrates festivals, gatherings, and art in the public realm.
The Bryn Celli Ddu project is a collaboration between Cadw, Think Creatively, Manchester Metropolitan University, and supported by Arts Council of Wales.
