The building was originally a Methodist church, and was taken over by the Jewish community in 1948

Visitors will be able to view the sanctuary, including the windows (as featured in the book 'Biblical Art from Wales') and other features of the building including the Ark and a Torah scroll.

 At 1.30, there will be a demonstration of how to make Challah.  Challah is the traditional plaited loaf Jews make for the Sabbath.  The demonstration will include how to make a challah dough and plait the loaf.  You will be able to taste the finished product afterwards! 

At 11.30am and 2.30pm there will be a talk about Judaism

Queen Street station is 5 minutes walk, and many buses stop on Newport Rd (City Rd stop), 2 minutes walk away.

Access for people who are wheelchair users or have difficulty climbing stairs is via stairlift.
