Maesteg Town Hall is the cultural heart of Maesteg. Originally built in 1881, redeveloped in 1914 and again in 2024, it is a building full of history and culture: from literature and artworks, to cinema, comedy, music and theatre. The ground floor of the building is now home to Maesteg Library, as well as a cafe. The first floor auditorium and 'Y Bocs Oren' studio are both fully accessible.

Join us for this special Heritage Afternoon in the restored Maesteg Town Hall, which reopened in November 2024. In the auditorium you can learn about the history of the building and see the conserved paintings by renowned local artist Christopher Williams. For this free Open Doors Heritage Day, the auditorium is also hosting a special multimedia exhibition created by VisionFountain, ‘Wales : A Home from Home'.

6 September 2025 12pm - 4.30pm Maesteg Town Hall will be open from 9am till 5pm, but the auditorium is only open from 12noon till 4.30pm.
